This month, OLLI Connects brings together a little heat, a little humor, and a lot of heart. As record-breaking temperatures set the stage for our Feature story, we also wander into the curious world of artificial intelligence—where algorithms try their hand at everything from writing to wit. Along the way, we stitch together stories of home quilters preserving family history, a medieval barmaid’s unexpected past, and pause to wonder: can a machine really “get” a good shaggy dog joke? Dive in for a lively mix of insight, memory, and a few surprises.
