But My Favorite Class was . . .

We’d love to have you contribute an article to OLLI Connects.  But maybe the idea of writing a whole article takes you out of your comfort zone.  Or just isn’t your idea of a good time.

But if you’ve taken more than a handful of OLLI classes, you probably have a favorite.  One that was more than just fun, more than just interesting.  One that had a real impact on you.  Maybe it was the subject.  Maybe it was the instructor.  Maybe you were just ready for an intellectual “growth spurt” at the time.   We’d like you to     (More…)

Calling All Board Gamers!

Ann Murphy

Games!  Glorious Games!  Is this the sentiment of an earnest nine-year-old or a precocious four-year-old?  Probably, but many adults also fondly recall those days gone by when the family eagerly gathered around the dining room table on a stormy summer night or a blustery winter one and enjoyed a riveting game of Monopoly, Parcheesi or, in a nod to the younger set, Chutes and Ladders or Candyland.  (More…)

Pre-show talks are scheduled prior to matinee performances of Opera Tampa productions and provide information that enhances the experience of the opera ahead. (More…)

Diane White

Have you ever taken an OLLI class and wished you could continue the discussion? Writing a blog post connects you with others who share your passions.

Blogs are similar to traditional journal entries, but instead of keeping your thoughts under lock and key, they are published to share with anyone. A blog, which is a combination of web and log, has become a popular way to share our experiences and passions with a wider community.  (More…)
